According to indeed.com the number of job searches for cyber roles reached only 31.6% of the jobs posted. Israel was the only country with a worse percentage, hitting 28.4%. In the US, the number was a more respectable 66.7%. Ireland is attracting talent, shrinking the skills gap to 14%, compared to the UK where the gap has risen by 5%.
Israel is also leading the way on creating cyber security jobs. Israel has 5000 cyber security job postings per 1 million postings, compared to just over 2000 for the UK. The US was just under 2000 per 1 million.
Certain cyber security jobs are more in demand than others. Network security has 223% more postings than mobile security. Cloud security jobs rose by 139%.
